DUBOIS, PA- For the second straight night, Central Mountain’s girls basketball team showed dominance. The Lady Wildcats would see Taylor Doyle, Camdyn Weaver and Lena Walker reach double figures in scoring and would scorch the nets for a total of nine three-point baskets enroute to a huge 66-32 win at DuBois on Tuesday evening.
Central Mountain’s presence was known early by taking an early 14-7 lead.
Taylor Doyle’s 8 second quarter points and 6 more from Weaver in the quarter was part of a huge 18-10 frame, in favor of Central Mountain.
The Lady Wildcats would build on their 32-17 halftime lead in the third quarter in a big way.
A balanced and total team effort that was sparked by a pair of Elise McKean three-point baskets, led to a 21-8 third quarter for Central Mountain. DuBois failed to find an answer to the Lady Wildcats’ onslaught and found themselves down 53-25 heading into the game’s final period of play.
The Lady Beavers would only find more of the same in the fourth quarter. Central Mountain would close out the contest with a 13-7 advantage to set the final.
Taylor Doyle led all scorers with a 20-point night. Camdyn Weaver added 13 points and Lena Walker added 10 points.
Central Mountain will remain on the road on Friday to meet a nonconference District 6 opponent in Penns Manor.
