Walker returns to lead Lady Wildcats to opening night victory over Bellefonte 51-35

BELLEFONTE, PA- Lena Walker made a big return for Central Mountain on Monday. Walker, returning from an ACL injury would ignite Central Mountain with 13 points to help the Lady Wildcats win their season opener on the road at Bellefonte 51-35.
Central Mountain used a 12-5 first quarter advantage and an 18-6 second quarter advantage to build a commanding 30-11 lead at the break.
The Lady Raiders rallied in the second half by outscoring Central Mountain 24-21, but it wasn’t enough on this night to stop the visiting Lady Wildcats.
Macy Plowman added 9 points, while Camdyn Weaver and Taylor Doyle each added 8 points to go along with Walker’s 13-point night.
Central Mountain (1-0) will remain on the road Tuesday when they travel to DuBois out of District 9.
