LHU’s Shoat earns Men’s Basketball PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week

LOCK HAVEN, PA – For the second straight week, Lock Haven men’s basketball point guard Justice Shoats has been named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Basketball Eastern Division Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon (Dec. 4).

Shoats continues to power a strong Bald Eagle defensive unit, and helped Lock Haven start off PSAC play with a 1-1 record.

In the Bald Eagles victory over Pitt-Johnstown (80-66), Shoats recorded a game-high six steals, while blocked two shots at his point guard position.

Shoats also poured in 22 points on 10-of-18 shooting, while dishing out nine assists and pulling in six rebounds.

On Saturday, Shoats scored 17 points and dished out five assists, while recorded a steal.

Shoats now has a conference-high 17 steals through just six games, averaging a conference-best 2.8 steals per game.
