Obituary – William B. Garret

William B. Garret, Jr., 58, of Castanea, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at his home.

Born July 14, 1965 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late William B., Sr. and Nancy Young Garret.

Bill was employed as a taxi driver for Lock Haven Taxi for over 10 years.

He was an avid collector, especially of any items related to Santa Clause and smiley faces. Bill enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a true appreciation for the beauty of nature. He took pride in his flower garden, especially his roses and lilies. He had a passion for his tractor and his truck – both driving them and
working on them. Most of all, he was a proud father of his children and enjoyed telling them stories of his past and his childhood years.

Bill is survived by his six children: Stephanie Nicole Wommer, Dwight “D.W.” Meyer, Jessika Lyn Garret, Ashley Nichole Garret, Amanda Brown and Angela Yearick; a sister, Patti Mallory; a brother, Edward Garret; six grandchildren, Landon Rung, Jaiden Wommer, Brysen Wommer, Tristian Shelley, Carter Shelley and Dominic Hummer, Jr.; and his soul mate, Patty Hoy.

Private services for Bill will be held at the convenience of his family.
