Obituary- Lois Jeane Sementelli

Lois Jeane Sementelli, of Flemington, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023, three days before her 95th birthday, at UPMC Haven Place.

Born September 8, 1928 in Ramey, she was a daughter of the late Cloyd Edward and Bernice Mary (Sweetie) Broberg.

Lois was a 1946 graduate of Philipsburg High School.  After graduating from Philipsburg State Hospital School of Nursing, she served as a Registered Nurse.

On May 17, 1951, she married her love, John Sementelli, Jr., with whom she shared 43 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1994.

Lois was a member of Great Island Presbyterian Church, Lock Haven where she enjoyed playing piano for Sunday School and attending the Bible Study/Prayer Group.

In her earlier years, she served as a Brownie Leader and along with her husband, was a Lock Haven Bobcat Band Booster parent.

Lois loved her family and cherished the time she spent caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her children: Cloyd (Kathy) Sementelli of Philadelphia, Janis (Jim) Dice of Virginia, Kathleen Schadt of Flemington and Debra (Jesse) Laubscher of Snow Shoe; six grandchildren: Chandra, Jessica, Chad, Melissa, Danielle and Lindsay; and nine great grandchildren: Brayden, Jaron, Haileigh, Isabel, Madisyn, Easton, Finley, Avery and Loralei.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, JoAnne Young and Carol Cleveland and a grandson, John.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of her family at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
