7th Annual BUDSTOCK Music Festival provides delightful entertainment

RENOVO, PA – The 7th Annual Budstock Music Festival treated concert goers to live music from 11a.m.-11p.m. at the Flaming Foliage Lot in Renovo on August  26 as dozens of musicians took to the stage throughout the day to bring free music to the Renovo area.

The annual concert was inspired by and created by namesake Bud Hallberg, one of the area’s most accomplished live performers whose career spanned many decades.

The event kicked off by younger performers from the Bucktail Drumline but then featured seasoned players throughout the day.

Organizers had tents set up to provide shade to those in attendance as the audience and musicians seemingly had an equal amount of fun during the day-long event. There were food vendors and a basket raffle along with Budstock tee-shirt sales.

Later in the day, Budstock board members presented The Greater Renovo Area Heritage Park with the Spirit Award in recognition of their many achievements. Mary George Rhone accepted the award for the group.

Bands that performed throughout the day and night included, Bucktail High School Drumline, Spring Hollow Blues Band, Phil Reeder, Bud’s Friends, Keystone Big Band, “2 A.M.” (Autumn & Mitch Gavlock) and Unhinged took to the stage to wrap up the night with another great performance.
