Lock Haven City Council says thank you to Fire Chief Neff

LOCK HAVEN, PA – Longtime Lock Haven fire official Robert “Bob” Neff was recognized for his service at City Council’s Monday night meeting held in the city’s Public Works Building.
Neff will be retiring as city Fire Chief as of early September after 48 years of service to city fire-fighting efforts.
Mayor Joel Long presented chief Neff with a resolution unanimously approved by council. Hope-Hose Fire Company Chief Tyler Wooding was also on hand, presenting Neff with a plaque from the Lock Haven Fire Department.
And while Chief Neff will no longer hold that position upon retirement, he will continue to assist in fire fighting efforts in the community, as noted by the city fire department in a posted word of thanks:
At this evening’s Council meeting, we had the honor of congratulating Chief Bob Neff on his retirement after 48 years of service to the citizens of Lock Haven. Chief Neff will work his last shift on September 3rd. Following his retirement, Chief Neff plans on assisting the Fire Department in a volunteer and support capacity.
On September 4th, 2023, Chief Tyler Wooding will replace Chief Bob Neff as Chief of the Department. Chief Eric Brungard will be appointed to the position of Deputy Fire Chief and Captain Jake Neff will be appointed to the position of Assistant Fire Chief.
