Obituary – Walter M. Geyer, Jr.
Walter M. Geyer, Jr., 75, of Mill Hall, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born June 25, 1948 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Walter M. And Ethel M. Entz Geyer, Sr.
Walter was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War from 1969 until his Honorable Discharge in 1975.
He was married to the former Gale Stringfellow, who preceded him in death.
Walter enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and liked attending local track races. Most of all, he loved the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Michael M. Geyer of South Mountain and Todd L. Geyer of Mill Hall; a daughter, Darla K. (Mark) Geyer-Wheeler of Mill Hall; three sisters: Gwen, Ginger and Kelly; eight grandchildren: Brooke, Hunter, Nate, Todd, Kayson, Grace, Hart and Samantha; his adopted granddaughter, Laurel Page; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 5 P.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington, PA 17745 with Rev. Alan Eckenroad officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3 P.M. until the time of the service.
Per Walter’s request, casual apparel shall be worn by those attending his service.
Memorial contributions in Walter’s memory may be made through the funeral home to the Wounded Warrior Project.
