Renovo police looking for borough man in connection with Salvation Army burglary

RENOVO, PA – Renovo police are asking for the public’s assistance in tracking down a borough man accused of burglarizing the Salvation Army/Methodist Church on Seventh Street in Renovo on Aug. 3.

Police say they have an active warrant for the arrest of Jordan Mooney, 23. He has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass, corruption of minors, and attempted theft. The charges stem from an incident at the Salvation Army / Methodist Church at 127 7th St, Renovo. Police allege Mooney entered the building with a 15-year-old juvenile, went to the basement and gathered numerous items in a bag and box with intent to steal them. Police said Mooney and the juvenile turned off the power to the building and hid in a back room when employees returned. Employees found them hiding and notified police.

Police have charged the 15-year-old juvenile from Renovo with burglary, criminal trespass, and attempted theft, stemming from the same incident. Police said the youth was taken into custody on Aug. 4 and charges have been filed in Clinton County Juvenile Court.
