CASTANEA – Boise P. “Bo” Miller has announced that he is seeking the nomination for Keystone Central School Board Member, Region VIII, in the May 19 primary election.  Miller plans to cross file.

His candidacy announcement said Bo will bring fresh ideas and a new perspective to the board. He believes that a move toward transparency and open dialogue with the community, parents and students is necessary for the success of the district.

Miller is a lifelong Clinton County resident, who spent his youth in Sugar Valley and moved to his current residence in Castanea Township in 2002.  He has one son, Logan, 2.

He is a 1998 graduate of the former Bald Eagle-Nittany High School and 2002 graduate of Lock Haven University, where he graduated with a BS in Computer Science. Bo has been employed at LHU since 2001, and currently is the Telecommunications Manager in the Information Technology Department.

Bo is also well known for his deep, booming voice, which he sometimes lends to announcing various LHU sporting events, such as football, basketball and volleyball.

Miller further volunteers his time as a member of the KCnet Board of Directors, as well as voluntarily serving as KCnet’s network administrator. He is a member of the Sugar Valley Lions Club, since 2003, and has served as the club president, as well as the 2010-2011 District Governor of Lions District 14-G.  Miller also is a 2012 graduate of Leadership Clinton County, and sits on the New York Tech Summit Advisory Council.
