Beech Creek site for Section 3 Little League Tournament starting Tuesday

BEECH CREEK, PA – The Keystone Major All-Stars are hosting the Section 3 Little League championships, the homestanding Keystoners starting things off with a Tuesday 5:30 p.m. game against Upper Dauphin Little League.

The four-team event will continue through Friday, with an “if necessary” game scheduled for Saturday. The Friday championship game is set for 5:30 p.m. and the Saturday game, if needed, will be at 2 p.m.

Teams participating, in addition to the host/District 12 champion Keystone team (4-0) and Upper Dauphin from District 24 are Athens from District 13 and Mifflinburg from District 15.

Games are being played at Blaine W. Kunes Memorial Park and Keystone League officials have encouraged the public to support the event.

Coach Cole Hanley’s Keystone team has been idle since winning the district title on July 10, an 8-6 come-from-behind win over Loyalsock. The sectional tourney winner will advance to the state Little League championships in suburban Philadelphia later this month.
