Keystone 10s take winners’ bracket final, 14-2, over Williamsport Area
MONTOURSVILLE, PA – The Keystone 10-year-old team is two-for-two in post season district play after Friday’s 14-2, four-inning win over Williamsport Area.
The Keystoners scored in every inning while hurler Carter Leone went the distance on the mound, tossing a four inning, 5-hitter, striking out five and walking but one; he now has two complete game wins in two starts.
Meanwhile Keystone cranked out 10 hits, led by Dylan McDermott and Ryker Packech, each going 2-for-2 and each with an RBI. Leone helped his cause with a double, Giovanni Cej had a triple and an RBI, Adam Meyer with a single and two RBIs, Stafford Ley and Karter Markle each with a single and an RBI, and Brooks Warner with a single.
Keystone will be off until the championship game scheduled for Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport on Tuesday, July 11 against an opponent to be determined.
