Thursday is deadline for Clinton County small business grant program requests
LOCK HAVEN, PA – This Thursday is the request deadline for the Clinton County Commissioners’ Small Business Grant Program. The program was announced earlier this month and provides up to $10,000 per qualifying business. So far, some 50 requests have been submitted to the county planning office.
Thursday is the deadline to apply. The program is for businesses with less than 100 employees and $1 million in income. Eligibility particulars can be found at the county website. The grants will be awarded only to those businesses which have not received pandemic-related funding through the county earlier. Non-profit organizations are not eligible.
As reported last week by county planner/engineer Steve Gibson, most have asked for the full $10,000 from funding the county is making available through remaining federal American Rescue Plan dollars.
Gibson said there have been a variety of requests, from advertising to training, start-up funds for new businesses, equipment replacement, hiring new employees, engineering and architectural services and to cover business losses due to inflation.
