Calling all artists, farmers market vendors, baked goods makers, and musicians!

Greg Zembower, a real estate agent and property owner in Renovo Borough, his business partner Gary Hentz, and Doug Byerly, announce that they are looking for talented people to help get some local projects started and off the ground.

Posted earlier in the week to the popular I <3 Renovo Facebook Group, Greg’s formal announcements for help are below.

Good evening Renovo lovers. I am in the process of renovating my apartment at 626 Erie as you probably know. I now have an idea I would like you all to participate in with suggestions. My wife and I would like to have the side of the brick building at 626 Erie used as a canvas for a mural. I would like to incorporate a historical perspective with a future revitalized Renovo perspective. Here are a couple ideas I have for the painting but I am relying on all of you for great ideas to incorporate as well. I would like to see train references of course. Maybe some historical buildings from days gone by. I would like to see depictions of the great state forests and river in the mural. I would like to see recreational depictions. Hunting, Fishing, ATV’s, Trail run challenges, Elk and any other activities that are enjoyed in the area. I would also like it to include a place where people can stand and get their picture taken in front of a sign that reads ‘I love Renovo’ so we can promote this great little town as a neat tourist destination. Please submit your ideas. I am working on finding an artist or artists that can do this along with some possible grant money to get it done. Reach out. Let’s do this together.

As well, a second idea that hit just as great as the first made its way through social media yesterday evening.

A second idea that I want to make happen, Renovo lovers. I have a vacant lot next to my property at 626 Erie Avenue. I want to have that used on Saturdays (at least to start) as a farmers market/baked goods market/local goods market area. This area would be for the residents of Renovo and other local vendors to come into town and sell things. This will help local people make money. The idea will be to promote this market area to get others from out of town to spend their money with you folks. I also have a concrete slab on the side of the building that could be used to set up bands so we could hear some music while people shopped or maybe in the evening for people to enjoy. Let me know your thoughts on this and how we can make it happen. I can’t be there most of the time so we will need an enthusiastic, energetic, motivated person who wants to infuse Renovo with some fun.

If any of you know any Amish families that would like to participate in the market, please reach out to them. I plan on being in town the evening of the 11th thru the 12th. I would like to meet with any of you who have interest in participating in getting this going. I want you folks to have what you would like at the market.
