Central Mountain tennis holds own at D-6 doubles

ALTOONA, PA – Central Mountain had two teams at the District 6 AAA doubles championship in Altoona Tuesday and both went 1-1 on the day.

Coach Jeff Brinker said he was pleased with their showing, “Both teams played well on the day, and they should be proud of how they played and represented Central Mountain High School.”

Doubles district’s results:

Nate Brinker and Asher Talbot won their first-round match 6-1, 6-0 over Williamsport’s number-one team of Owen Karr and Shreshth Singh They lost their quarterfinal match to State College number two 6-3, 6-3.

Joey McCluskey and Joe Caimi won their first-round match 6-2, 6-3 over Selinsgrove number two Joaquin Basa and Ben Rowan. They lost their quarterfinal match to Hollidaysburg number two, 6-0, 6-0.
