Millville no-hits Bucktail in 11-0 win in baseball

MILLVILLE, PA- Jacob Fought and Gavin Sheets combined on a 5-Inning no-hitter against visiting Bucktail on Tuesday.Fought would pick up the win by going four innings of no-hit pitching, striking out 4 and allowing just 3 walks. Sheets would finish out the game in the fifth inning by striking out 3 batters and walking one Buck.

The Quakers jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and would have a big 5-run third inning. Millville would add 5 more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to set the 11-0 final.

The win upped Millville’s overall record to 4-6 as they fight to make their way into the District 4 1A playoffs.

Bucktail fell to 1-8 and will next be in action on Thursday in Williamsport to face St. John Neumann before hosting Columbia Montour Vo-Tech on Saturday.
