LAPORTE, PA- Bucktail baseball endured a tough outing on the road at Sullivan County on Monday. The Griffins would score 13 runs in the game’s first two innings to down the Bucks 13-1.
The Bucks led this game 1-0 after the top of the first inning following a run from Kyler Friese, but Sullivan County would score 3 runs in their half of the first and a 10-run second inning explosion would be all the Griffins would need for the 5-inning victory.
Bucktail was held to just 2 hits on the afternoon. Friese and Ethan Kalafut would deliver those hits for Bucktail.
Walks were an issue for the Bucks as they allowed 10 free passes, but held Sullivan County to just 5 base hits.
The Bucks fell to 1-7 on the season and will next be in action on Tuesday afternoon when they travel to Millville (3-7) and then a road trip to St. John Neumann on (4-5) on Thursday. They will then return home to host Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (4-8) on Saturday.
