Kettle Creek Valley Outdoor and Craft Show planned for April 15

CROSS FORK, PA – The Kettle Creek Valley Outdoor and Craft Show, and the Earl R Brown Memorial Turkey Calling Contest will be held Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kettle Creek Hose Company in Cross Fork.

A variety of local craft and outdoor related vendors and non -profits will be represented.

Some of the local organizations that will be present are the Cross Fork and Kettle Creek Tamarack Sportsman’s groups, Kettle Creek Fire Company, Clinton County Economic Partnership, Greater Renovo Heritage Association, Sunset Memorial Church, Kettle Creek Music Festival and the Susquehannock Trail Club. The Bureau of Forestry will have their information trailer outside and will be able to give information on the state forest activities including ATV trails, electric bicycle regulations and new camping procedures. State Parks will be represented by the EES from Kettle Creek and Ole Bull State Parks. Vendors will feature handmade items and artwork, maple products, self-protection items, fishing and hunting related items. Cutting Edge Designs will be doing laser engraving and will have a variety of handmade items.

The Earl R. Brown Memorial Turkey Calling Contest to be held in conjunction with the show. Registration for the contest is from 9-10:30 a.m. with calling starting at 11a.m..

The Calling Contest is a sanctioned contest. There will be 5 divisions, Open, Friction, Youth, Amateur, and a team contest. Cash prizes will be offered for first, second and third places in each division. For information on the contest, contact Carla Flack at 570-927-2797or qocg@quietoaks.org.

Breakfast sandwiches and a chicken and biscuits lunch will be available as well as a dessert sale with great homemade baked items. There will be a bucket raffle with items donated by vendors and local businesses.

All proceeds from the show go to the Kettle Creek Hose Company and the Kettle Creek Ambulance Association.
