Wildcat middle-school wrestler places at national junior high event

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Central Mountain Middle School’s Aiden Kunes capped off his 8th grade postseason with a fourth-place finish at the NHSCA Middle School Nationals in VA Beach Sunday.

Seven Wildcats participated in the high school and middle school nationals and coach Biff Walizer said all competed well. Jake Weaver and Gavin Heverly came up one win away from the podium.

Earlier in March Kunes had earned a third place finish at the PJW Junior High School state tournanment.
