Bair becomes first CM swimmer to score points at states

LEWISBURG, PA – On Friday Central Mountain sophomore, Camryn Bair, reached another goal on her chalkboard displayed in the Bair kitchen. An appearance in the 50 freestyle finals at the PIAA State Swimming and Diving Championships held at Bucknell University. This is the premier swimming event for high school swimmers with plans after graduation.

The morning race was very methodical and technically sound, yielding a time of 24.13 after going in with a time of 23.85, assuring her a place in the Top 16 and an afternoon race. After lunch, some relaxing music and some race planning, Bair was ready for her historic second 50 Freestyle race.

First heat, lane 3, finished with a time of 24.19 and tied for 11th place overall, scoring 5.5 points, the first state meet points in CM history.

The CM swim season is officially closed. They enjoyed a bonus two weeks. There will be a brief rest, then back to work to get to the Top 8.
