Obituary
Debra (Poorman) Emel, 69, of Lock Haven died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the Gatehouse in Williamsport.
Born April 17, 1953 in Renovo, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mildred (Flodin) Poorman.
She worked as a payroll clerk at Sykes in McElhatten and was a former manager at the Best Western in Lock Haven earlier she worked at the former Jean’s Restaurant in Renovo as a waitress.
She was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Mill Hall.
Debra enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking.
Surviving are a son, Edward G. Emel, Jr. of Lock Haven a daughter, Denise M. (Egert) Guerriero of Foley, AL and five grandchildren; Dylan, Iesha, Cali, Piper and Paisley also two great-grandchildren; Dawson and Ella.
She is survived by two brothers, Robert “Bob” Poorman of Renovo and Richard “Rick” Poorman of Virginia and two sisters, Marcia Scrimshaw of Michigan and Carol Poorman of Renovo also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews.
Debra was preceded in death by a brother, John Poorman, sister, Susan Poorman and a nephew Shawn Poorman.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
