Central Mountain bocce squad earns second place finish
COAL TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain bocce team saw its wonderfully successful season come to an end at the Heartland Athletic Conference championships at Shamokin High School on Tuesday.
After winning a round one opener over Danville by an 8-4 score, the Wildcats fell to Shikellamy by a 6-4 score to finish in second place. Overall, the team went an impressive 9-1 on the season.
Team coaches had nothing but praise for the squad members, for both their success and how they handled that success. The Wildcats had been given a rousing sendoff by their classmates at Central Mountain High School earlier in the day as they departed for the championships.
