| WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Central Mountain girls swim team was back in the pool Saturday at the Coaches Invitational hosted by Williamsport.
The Wildcats finished 5th out of the 12-team field. CM had many great swims on the day. Junior Ana Persun led the Wildcats winning gold in the 100 FLY and silver in the 200 FREE. Sophomore Abrianna Hosley finished 3rd in the 200 IM. Abrianna recorded her fastest time of the season in the 500 Free finishing in 2nd place. Sophomore Camryn Bair finished 2nd in the 50 Free and 100 Free. Bair broke her own school record in the 100 Free with a time of 54.39. The Wildcats final meet of the season is on Tuesday against Williamsport and Towanda.
The Central Mountain boys swim team also was back in action at the Coaches Invitational hosted by Williamsport. The boys finished mid pack coming home in 6th place. Sophomore Jonathan Hughes led the way for the Wildcats. Hughes battled Ethan Robertson in the 100 Breaststroke. The two swimmers were side by side the entire race. Robertson out touched Hughes by .17 seconds for the win. Hughes finished in second place. The Wildcats are back in action Tuesday night at Williamsport for a tri-meet with Williamsport and Towanda.
