Lady Wildcats downed by Lewisburg

LEWISBURG, PA  – Friday night was one of those nights for the Central Mountain girls’ basketball team. Winning four of their last five outings, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Lewisburg to face the now 15-7 Lady Green Dragons. Unfortunately, it was a night the ball just wouldn’t go through the hoops for the visitors. Lewisburg outscored CM in all four quarters to post a 46-15 win.

It was 11-7 for Lewisburg after period one but that would be as close as the Lady ‘Cats would get, CM held to just three points in the final two periods. Only three Central Mountain players scored: Kiahna Jones with 8, Ava Doyle with 5 and Danica Kelly with 2. Jones totaled 8 rebounds and Doyle and Kelly each had 5. Kelly also had 4 steals.

Now 7-13, Central Mountain will now regroup in preparation for two final regular season contests on Tuesday and Wednesday at Williamsport and Huntingdon respectively.
