CM swimmers take double-dip at ‘Shore

JERSEY SHORE, PA – The Central Mountain girls swim team defeated Jersey Shore on Wednesday night, 89-62.  Coach Scott Bair said, “The entire team performed well tonight.”

The Wildcats looked strong from the opening buzzer.  The 200 Medley Relay team of Abrianna Hosley, Camryn Bair, Ana Persun, and Autumn Garman finished ahead of the Bulldogs by over 6 seconds.  The girls rattled off 8 more wins throughout the evening.  Winners were Ana Persun in the 200 Free & 100 Fly, Abrianna Hosley in the 200 IM & 400 Free, Camryn Bair in the 50 Free & 100 Back, and Autumn Garman in the 100 Breaststroke.  The Wildcats ended the meet the way they started it, with a relay win.  Bair, Hosley, Garman, and Persun picked up the win in the 400 Free Relay.

The girls are now 6-3 and will face Milton on Saturday night at Lock Haven University starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Central Mountain boys swim team likewise traveled to Jersey Shore Wednesday evening to take on the Bulldogs and came out on top, 94-8.

The boys swam most of the events against each other and competed hard, according to coach Bair.

Starting things off with a win for the Wildcats was the 200 Medley Relay team of Neil Kaluzny, Arthur McGuire, Jonathan Hughes, and Owen Wunder.  Individual winners for the Wildcats were Neil Kaluzny in the 200 Free and 100 Free, Jonathan Kaluzny in the 200 IM and 100 Back, Rhys Swift in the 50 Free and 100 Fly, and Arthur McGuire in the 400 Free and the 100 Breaststroke.  Winning the 200 Free Relay for CM were Rhys Swift, Dylan Russell, Arthur McGuire, and Bryce Warren.  Lastly the 400 Free Relay of Swift, Wunder, Kaluzny, and Hughes capped the night off with a victory.

The boys are now 3-5-1 on the season and will host Milton on Saturday at LHU starting at 6:30 p.m.
