A great weekend for ghosts and goblins
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven Fire Department Saturday morning staged its annual Halloween parade, an event that attracted hundreds of appropriately dressed participants and many, many more spectators to the downtown as the parade moved up E. Main Street, then down E. Church Street for fire department-provided fun at the Hope Hose Fire Company.
The Lock Haven event kicked off Halloween observances across Clinton County. Among those in the offing is the Castanea Halloween parade scheduled for 4 p.m. Sunday, the route from W. Brown Street to Fleming Avenue, E. Brown Street and McElhattan Avenue before ending at the Castanea Fire Hall. A children’s Halloween Magic Show will be held there at 5:30 p.m. Sunday. The Castanea event is sponsored by the township recreation committee, the township supervisors and the Castanea Fire Company.
Renovo’s Heritage Park Committee on Monday will stage its annual Happy Halloween Party at the park located at 530 Erie Avenue in Renovo, hours from 4 to 8 p.m. That event will include ghost tours for those 12 and above, kids, activities and trunk or treat. Free treats will be provided.
Most all Clinton County municipalities have established from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday as the hours for trick-or-treating.
The weatherman has promised wonderfully seasonal late October weather for ghosts and goblins to make their annual appearances.
