Hooskow Chainsaw Carvers’ Festival up and running at county fair grounds
MACKEYVILLE, PA – It’s carvin’ time at the Clinton County Fairgrounds: the annual Hooskow Chainsaw Carvers’ Festival began a three-day run on Thursday and will continue through Saturday.
Now an annual Halloween weekend attraction, the festival features better than 50 carvers from across the United States. The festival runs from dawn to dusk each day. In addition to the carvers, there’s a host of other crafters who’ve set up shop and food and drink vendors.
The schedule includes a daily “quick carve” event with six carvers at each staging. A festival highlight, the carvers’ auction is Saturday starting at 2 p.m. There will also be music Friday and Saturday night with Fat Man.
Event sponsor is noted Clinton County carver Jeff Donoughe.
