Lady Bucks Best Neumann 61-42

bucks-basketballFARWELL – The Lady Bucks basketball program extended their early season record to 3-0 drubbing visiting St. John Neumann Academy 61-42.

The Lady Golden Knights struggled early only netting four points in the first period while the Lady Bucks loaded up 18 for a comfortable lead.

In the second quarter Bucktail kept up the pressure and built a commanding 35-11 advantage before the break.

In the second half the Lady Bucks maintained their onslaught and carried a 51-22 advantage going into the final period. In the fourth SJN managed to match the Lady Bucks point for point with both teams scoring 10 points each to finish the contest with Bucktail winning by 19.

Maria Morgan continued her march of her senior season leading bucktail with 25 points, while Tiffany Werts contributed 20 and Alaina Tripp scoring 10. Shae Cowfer, Abby Ransom and Natasha Peck each added 2.

The Lady Bucks will visit Bloomsburg Saturday for their next contest at 7:30 p.m.
