Lock Haven Jaycees Regatta: get ready… get set…..
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Both sides of the Susquehanna River were abuzz during the day Friday as the 51st annual Lock Haven Area Jaycees Regatta was about to begin. Many of the expected 300 boats were getting in practice time on the river while vendors were getting set up along the E. Water Street midway.
The Regatta begins on the Lock Haven side, along E. Water Street, Friday at 6 p.m. and three days of boat races Saturday at 10 a.m.
The full schedule, as provided by the Jaycees:
Boat races will be held from (scheduled): Saturday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday, Sept 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Opening ceremonies will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 3 with Woodward Township Supervisor Kyle Coleman.
Midway – featuring all your favorite food, drinks and games – will be Friday, Sept. 2 from 6 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 3 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Monday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Entertainment on the Jaycee Stage on the corner of Water and Jay streets: Friday, Sept. 2 from 7 to 10 p.m., presented by The Lock Haven Area Jaycees and Schlesinger Communications: Uptown Music Collective. Saturday, Sept. 3., presented by Schlesinger Communications: Noon to 2 p.m., Last Rebels; 2:15 to 4:15 p.m., Cass & The Bailout Crew; 4:30 to 6 p.m., Troy Love; 6:15 to 7 p.m., Raising Kane; 7:30 to 10 p.m., Quarterstick.
