The Heartstrings to play Triangle Park Friday evening
LOCK HAVEN, PA – This Friday the 2022 Lock Haven Summer Concert Series welcomes The Heartstrings to Triangle Park, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The Heartstrings, a family band from Central PA got its start when Jacob Yoas, at the age of 17, plugged his guitar in for the first time at the Nippenose Tavern. Originally a solo acoustic act, he continued to expand their fan base, and a year later his sister, Maria, joined him under the stage lighting. Shortly after, Brian Yoas joined completing the trio. since then, the Heartstrings cut their groove into central Pennsylvania by playing at numerous venues and continuing to expand their fan base.
On June 19 of last year The Heartstrings released their debut album “We Were Young”. Featuring a diverse range of tracks, from songs such as “Home”, an old school, Hank Williams/Classic Country feel, to the rock and roll vibes of “High”, this album has songs for everyone. The album was written by the lead singer, Jacob, drum tracks played by Brian, and bass performed by Maria. The album is a multi-studio record; recorded at 8 Days A Week Studio in Northumberland, PA and Green Valley Recording in Hughesville, PA.

The public is invited to attend this free summer concert. Seating will not be provided; therefore, the public is asked to bring a lawn chair. The rain location for the Saturday evening summer concerts is Price Auditorium at Lock Haven University.
