Clinton County “low” in community COVID level
LOCK HAVEN, PA – According to the latest statistics from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), Clinton, Centre and Lycoming counties this week are all in the “low” community level for COVID-19. The CDC is now updating that information every Thursday. In all, 48 of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties are in the low level; 15 are in the medium level, and four counties – Mifflin, Montour, Juniata and Huntingdon – are in the high community level.
Meanwhile, the PA Department of Health, which updates its COVID-19 information on Wednesdays, currently reports that Pennsylvania cases now total 2,975,031, with the number of daily cases reported on Wednesday at 2,165, which is also a downward trend. Clinton County reported 17 new cases on Wednesday, with a total of 9,530 to date. Centre County reported 20 new cases Wednesday, with a countywide total of 7,569; and Lycoming County reported 21 new cases Wednesday, with a countywide total of 30,008. Clinton County data shows 129 deaths attributed to the virus, 360 in Centre and 534 in Lycoming County. (This COVID update courtesy Clinton County Economic Partnership).
