Lock Haven’s Momoyo Otsu welcomes Martina Guerra jewelry to downtown

LOCK HAVEN, PA – “A dream come true” is how co-owner Hanna Stover described the Friday ribbon-cutting for the newly expanded Momoyo Otsu store in downtown Lock Haven. One year after a grand-opening in two-thirds of the historic Fredericks Building at E. Main and Grove Streets, Stover was part of the Friday ceremony in which the business welcomed Martina Guerra to a third Momo storefront, previously a t-shirt store.

Stover owns Momo with her husband Jordan. In brief remarks before the ribbon-cutting she thanked family members and store employees for their efforts, noting they worked until 2:30 a.m. Friday in preparation for the wielding of the scissors.

The expansion had been first disclosed in July of this year and renovations to the new storefront followed. With the expansion, Stover said, the store will be able to over more products for shoppers. She welcomed Martina Guerra and lauded her efforts in creating her jewelry after putting her three children to bed at their home in Lycoming County; Guerra operates Martina Guerra Goldsmith in Jersey Shore.

The new square footage will enable the current space to show more clothing, handbags and more as the jewelry in the previously existing store space has been relocated to the newly acquired space.

Momoyo Otsu opened its downtown site last November after operating previously for two years online.
