Lock Haven Elks club reopens on Wednesdays
LOCK HAVEN, PA – The Lock Haven Elks Lodge will open its club on Wednesday evenings until further notice as the lodge building on E. Main Street remains on the market for sale.
Lock Haven Elks Lodge Exalted Rulter/manager Sherri Walison provided a Monday update to therecord-online. After a trustees meeting last week, Walison said the decision has been made to keep the building’s club portion open for the membership each Wednesday from 5 p.m.to 9 p.m. for “wing night.” The Wednesday opening is for lodge members and those signed in by lodge members. Previously it had been announced the club portion would shut down at the end of October.
Meanwhile, she said, the building remains for sale, listed with Mericle Commercial Real Estate; some prospective buyers have been reported visiting the longstanding Main Street structure. Financial problems had been blamed when the announcement on the club cutback came last month.
