Seven LHU Men’s Wrestlers ranked in first NCAA Coaches’ Rankings; Bald Eagles return home Friday night vs. Kent State
LOCK HAVEN – The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced the first coaches’ ranking for the 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships and the Lock Haven men’s wrestling team landed seven athletes in the top-33 of their respective weight class
The coaches’ rankings are determined by a vote of 16 coaches in each weight class with two head coaches from each of the eight conferences. Wrestlers must have eight Division I matches in the weight class to be considered with at least one within the last 30 days.
The Bald Eagles landed three athletes in the top-20 of their respective weight classes and four in the top-25.

The 2025 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships will take place March 20-22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia as the event returns for the first time since 2011.

The Lock Haven men’s wrestling team will return home for the first time in 2025 and is set to host Kent State on tomorrow night (Friday, Jan. 24) at 7 p.m. inside Thomas Fieldhouse.
The Bald Eagles are hosting a pre-match social in Lock Haven’s Durrwachter Alumni Conference Center (DACC) starting at 5 p.m. To register and learn more, click here.
Lock Haven enters Friday’s match with a 7-5 overall record and 1-0 mark in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC). Lock Haven remains in a tie for first place in the MAC East.
Kent State is currently 1-9 overall and 0-3 in the MAC, coming in at No. 6 in the MAC West.
The Bald Eagles will travel to George Mason for MAC action Sunday, Jan. 26.
