Renovo man sentenced to up to 10 years in prison on gun charge
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Bobby Joe Winkelman, 39, of 4th Street, Renovo, was sentenced in Clinton County Court Monday to up to 10 years in a State Correctional Institution on one count of person not to possess a firearm, a second degree felony.
Clinton County President Judge Craig P. Miller imposed the sentence following a brief sentencing hearing, and made Winkelman eligible for parole after 54 months. Winkelman was charged after police apprehended him on an outstanding warrant for other criminal charges in March of this year. Authorities said when he was located by police, Winkelman was in possession of a firearm and ammunition. Due to Winkelman’s prior convictions for felony burglary, authorities said, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm for the rest of his life.
Winkelman was represented in the case by attorney Christian Lovecchio. The Commonwealth was represented by District Attorney Dave Strouse.
