STATE COLLEGE, PA – The National Weather Service flash flood watch remains in effect through 4 p.m. Thursday for Clinton and Centre counties and other parts of central Pennsylvania. The heaviest rain is to fall from Wednesday evening afternoon through midday Thursday before tapering off:

…FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON… The Flash Flood Watch continues for A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following areas, Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, McKean, Mifflin, Northern Centre, Northern Clinton, Potter, Somerset, Southern Centre and Southern Clinton. Through Thursday afternoon.
Rain will increase in intensity through this evening, then continue heavy at times through the midday hours on Thursday. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are forecast. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
