County looking for correctional officers

Clinton County Correctional Facility retiring correctional officer Scott Day, recognized for 14 years of service.

LOCK HAVEN, PA – As Clinton County Commissioner Jeff Snyder said at the commissioners’ Thursday meeting, the county remains in the market for new correctional officers.

Snyder commented as the commissioners recognized Scott Day, retiring after 14 years as a correctional officer at the Clinton County Correctional Facility.

In personnel actions at the board meeting, the commissioners hired Marc Decker as a public defender, replacing the recently retired Paul Ryan. The Decker hire is effective Sept. 6, the pay at the starting salary of $56,308.

The commissioners also confirmed the temporary promotion of Alexandra Sheridan from part-time to full-time detective in the county district attorney’s office, effective Sept. 31, the compensation $48,750. The district attorney’s office said Sheridan will serve fulltime while the chief county detective, Jim Edwards, is off due to a medical issue.
