Police Blotter January 30, 2025 – PA State Police Lamar Barracks

Commercial Vehicle Accident/Fatality
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On January 29, 2025, at around 8:34 a.m., a collision occurred on Nittany Valley Drive (SR-64) near TruGreen, located at 5967 Nittany Valley Drive. Joshua Lahr, a 19-year-old from Elysburg, was traveling northbound at an undetermined speed when he collided with the rear of a 2012 Kenworth Truck. The truck, driven by Radalphy Mercedes-Roman, 26, from Hazleton, had stopped in the northbound lane to yield to oncoming southbound traffic as Mercedes-Roman prepared to make a left turn into the TruGreen parking lot. Despite attempting to avoid the collision, Lahr’s vehicle, a 2011 Subaru Forester, was severely damaged upon impact. His car ultimately came to an uncontrolled stop facing north on the east-side shoulder of Nittany Valley Drive. Lahr sustained fatal injuries from the crash, according to the report issued by the Pennsylvania State Police in Lamar.

Corruption of Minors
RENOVO BOROUGH— On January 27, 2025, PSP Lamar Troopers responded to 3rd Street to investigate allegations regarding the corruption of minors. This investigation is ongoing.

DUI
WAYNE TOWNSHIP— On January 26, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m., PSP Lamar initiated a traffic stop on SR-220 South near mile marker 114 for a vehicle driving without headlights and taillights activated. Upon investigation, it was determined that the driver, identified as a 23-year-old female from Lock Haven, was under the influence of alcoholic beverages. Chemical testing was consented to, and criminal charges are pending toxicology results.

Theft by Deception/Identity Theft
LAMAR TOWNSHIP— On January 25, 2025, at 5:57p.m., PSP Lamar Trooper Hall stopped a 2022 BMW 530XI after observing traffic violations and reportedly discovered items that are suspected to be used for committing identity theft/fraud, including 19 iPhones. This investigation is ongoing.

Motor Vehicle Accident
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On January 25, 2025, at 2:17 a.m., Felix Imoh, a 48-year-old from Newark, NJ, was involved in an accident while navigating a left curve in the road. His vehicle veered off to the right and hit a guide rail before coming to a stop on the right shoulder. Imoh admitted that he had been driving while fatigued. No injuries were sustaned in the crash.

Theft
BEECH CREEK BOROUGH— PSP Lamar is investigating a case of identity theft that occurred online. The suspect(s) used a 77-year-old male’s identity to transfer funds from his bank account to various accounts, according to a report issued on January 24, 2025. This investigation is ongoing.

Retail Theft/Shoplifting
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On January 23, 2025, at 1:41 p.m., Thomas Chandler, 41, from Jersey Shore, was caught on video surveillance at the Walmart in Mill Hall placing a pack of Pokemon cards beneath another lower-priced item and scanning only the cheaper item at the checkout. Chandler then put both items into a bag without paying for the more expensive Pokemon cards. Charges will be filed against him through District Magistrate 25-3-02.

Motor Vehicle Accident
GREENE TOWNSHIP— On January 23, 2025, at 11:51 p.m., an accident occurred on I-80 near mile marker 187.9 involving Jashandeep Singh, a 23-year-old from Greenwood, IN, and Jose Valerio, a 47-year-old from Hazleton. Both were traveling east when Singh, driving too closely behind Valerio, collided with his vehicle at the 7 o’clock position. After the initial impact, Valerio continued eastward and eventually came to a stop off the right-hand berm, while Singh’s vehicle stopped in the right lane facing east. Singh’s 2019 Freightliner TR sustained disabling damage in the crash. No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Theft
FLEMINGTON BOROUGH– On January 22, 2025, a complaintant on High Street reported that tools were stolen from his toolbox. Investigative efforts revealed that this matter was civil in nature, in that both parties did admit that financial payment had not been made for all of the tools according to the report issued by PSP Lamar.

Harassment
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP— On January 23, 2025, at 4:09 p.m., an incident involving harassment and a minor child allegedly occurred according to a report issued by PSP Lamar. This investigation is ongoing.

Motor Vehicle Accident
EAST KEATING TOWNSHIP— On January 23, 2025, at 1:54 p.m., Trisidy Fowler, a 19-year-old from Emporium, was involved in a single-vehicle accident while driving west on Renovo Road near Mill Run Road at a speed of 55 mph. Fowler failed to stay in her lane while negotiating a left-hand curve, causing her vehicle to hit a culvert on the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned and eventually came to a final stop on its roof. No injuries were reported, and Fowler was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Motor Vehicle Crash
PORTER TOWNSHIP— On January 17, 2025, at 12:40 a.m., a crash occurred on I-80 West near mile marker 174.0. Wajeeh Iqbal, M, 29, from Wood Ridge, NJ, was traveling west in the right lane when he struck a deer in the roadway. After striking the deer, he slowed down and veered into the left lane. Conshea Brown, F, 27, from New York, NY, collided with the rear end of Iqbal’s vehicle and both vehicles sustained disabling damage. No injuries were reportered as a result of the crash.

Rape
PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP— An incident involving rape was reported near Drake Lane sometime between January 21 and January 22, 2025. This investigation is ongoing.
