Obituary
Mickey L. Rine, 57, of Castanea, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at his home.
Born April 2, 1964 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Roland and Carol Stahl Rine, who survive in Avis.
Mickey was a 1982 graduate of Jersey Shore High School.
On July 7, 1984 in Lock Haven, he married the love of his life, Gail Ann Eckenroth, who survives.
Mickey was a Veteran of the Persian Gulf War where he obtained the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps, stationed in Cherry Point, NC from 1985 until his honorable discharge in 1993.
Following his years in the military, Mickey and Gail returned to Pennsylvania where Mickey was employed at FCI Allenwood, retiring in 2005 after 12 years of service as a Senior Officer Specialist.
He was a member of the Lock Haven First Church of Christ and the National Rifle Association.
Mikey was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed fishing his earlier years, especially his outings on Pine Creek with his Pap, Leo Stahl.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is survived by his daughter, Danielle McCloskey of Castanea; a granddaughter, Abigail Rose McCloskey of Castanea; his grandfather, Leo Stahl of Charleton; a brother, Mark (Diane) Rine and their children, Amanda (Matthew Gray) and Katie, all of Maryland; two brother-in-law’s, Lee (Leslie) Burnell of McElhattan and their children, Thomas of Lock Haven and Natalie of McElhattan, and Jim (Brenda) Eckenroth and their two children of Missouri; and his mother-in-law, Vickie Burnell of Jersey Shore.
A Memorial Service in Mickey’s remembrance will be announced at a later time.
