Obituary
Harry W. Bennett, Jr., 90, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at his son’s home surrounded by his family.
Born January 28, 1931 in Plainfield, NJ, Harry was the son of the late Harry W. and Ethel Eager Bennet, Sr.
He married the former Beverly Reed, who survives in Lock Haven.
Harry was a Veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War.
He owned and operated H. Bennett Heating and Air Conditioning of South Plainfield, NJ for almost 50 years. Harry and Beverly also owned the Harborside Motel of Beach Haven Gardens, NJ from 1984 to 2020 when they relocated to Lock Haven with their son, Steve.
He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed watching their games.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Steve Bennett of Lock Haven; a brother, Robert (Lois) Dege of North Carolina; a sister, Lois (Jim) Beck of New Jersey; two grandchildren, Ashley (Tyler) Koser of Lock Haven and Troy Bennett of Jersey Shore; and three great grandchildren: Clayton, Austin and Trent Koser.
Harry was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia Bennett.
A time of viewing will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 10 to 11 A.M. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High Street, Flemington, PA 17745.
Private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
