BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP, PA – The Central Mountain Lady Wildcats played well in all three facets of the game on Tuesday to ten-run visiting Midd-West in 6 innings, the final 10-0. .
Midd-West threatened in the first two innings, getting four of their five hits off winning pitcher Adalynn McKeague, but two sparkling double plays turned in by second baseman Alyssa Fisher squelched both of those threats. McKeague would allow just another lead-off single in the 4th before retiring the side with two pop-ups and an infield groundout. She had four strike-outs and no walks in the win. Her ERA dropped below 1.00 with the effort.
The Lady ‘Cats brought out the bats, pounding 14 hits. Caitlyn Watson drilled a bases-loaded double to plate all three runners in the CM bottom of the 5th to end the game.
Eight of the nine in the line-up had hits for the home team. Fisher upped her batting average from .409 with a triple, a two-run home run and a sacrifice fly. Pitcher McKeague was three-for-three; Allison Lininger and Maggie Saar each had a single and double; Harley Kunes singled to right for her first hit of the year. Riley Houser, Madison Hardy, and Gracie Saar each had a single.
