Lady Bucks with another 15-0 win
FARWELL, PA – The Bucktail softball team put up its second straight 15-0 win in its Monday home outing with Columbia-Montour Vo-Tech. It follows a similar 15-0 win over Benton last Saturday and put the Lady Bucks at 6-1 on the season.
Monday’s game lasted three innings and saw pitchers Emma Poorman and Makenzie Wagner offer a near duplication of their performance against Benton. This time they combined for a 1-hitter, picked up off Poorman by the first CMVT batter. Poorman and Wagner did not give up another hit and issued no walks, combining for four strikeouts; Poorman went the first two innings, Wagner finishing up.
Bucktail batters unloaded for 13 hits, led by Poorman’s two doubles and a homerun in three at-bats, driving in six runs. Wagner and the Burrows girls, Jordan and Haley, had two each. Others came from RaiLeigh Isaacs with a double and singles from Alexis Lowery, Lily Francis and Kayla Probert.
The Lady Bucks will be back in action Wednesday at Sullivan County, then off until Saturday, April 24, a 1 p.m. home contest with Northwest.
