FARWELL – Coming off a record-breaking 19-3 season in 2019, the Bucktail softball team is back at work preparatory to the start of the 2020 season later this month.

Coach Mike Poorman is working with a squad of 21, what he calls “a nice blend of senior leadership on down to the freshmen.” He said the Lady Bucks have been able to get in some outside work so far and hopes for more of the same before the scheduled opener Friday, Mar. 20 at Cowanesque Valley.

Bucktail’s record-breaking squad a year ago took the District 4 title and made its first-ever appearance in the PIAA playoffs. Six Mid-Penn League all-stars from that team return this year.
