Lady Wildcat Tennis Opens with a 5-0 Road Win over Mifflinburg

MIFFLINBURG – Picking up where they left off in 2018, the Lady Wildcat tennis team opened up their 2019 campaign with a 5-0 sweep over PHAC foe, Mifflinburg.

CM’s Kendall McCluskey set the tone early with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Mifflinburg’s Abby Underhill at No. 1 singles. Carolina Carpenetti picked up the second win of the day over Mifflinburg’s Kiara Gilroy, 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 singles while Olivia Anastos also won in straight sets over Amber Leitzel, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

In No. 1 doubles action, Natalie Brown and Kati Kwiatek rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mifflinburg’s Rockell Keister and Kylie Vasbinder. CM’s Ella Talbot and Caitlyn Dale closed out the clean sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Mifflinburg’s Sylvia Rishel and Tayah Lamey.

The Lady ‘Cats will be back in action when they host Jersey Shore on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
