Ruth Joyce Lugg – Obituary

Ruth Joyce Lugg, a long-time resident of Flemington Borough, passed away Saturday, May 18th, 2019.

She was born, Ruth J. Jervis in Red Bank, New Jersey, daughter of Harry and Marjorie Jervis.

Ruth and Allan W. Lugg married in 1954 and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Ruth graduated from the Presbyterian School of Nursing, Philadelphia. She served her community in many ways including a volunteer for Red Cross Blood Mobile, camp nurse at Camp Krislund and taught Sunday school for a number of years at the Great Island Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by husband, Allan, 4 children, Robert H. Lugg, Paul S. Lugg, Allyson Balyeat, and Allan W. Lugg, Jr., and 13 grandchildren. Two sons, Second Lieutenant U.S.M.C, Donald C. Lugg, and John F. Lugg, a Navy veteran, predeceased her.

Interment will be at the family’s convenience at the Riverside Cemetery, Knoxville, Pennsylvania.
