Rose Marie (Kennis) Hritzko – Obituary
Rose Marie (Kennis) Hritzko, 76, of South Renovo, passed away Friday, April 26, 2019 at Bucktail Medical Center in S. Renovo. She was the beloved wife of William R. Hritzko of S. Renovo.
Born December 17, 1942 in Renovo, Rose was the daughter of the late Andrew C. and Rosanna B. (Croak) Kennis. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Renovo.
Rose married William on September 21, 1963 and the couple shared over 55 years together. After marriage, she stayed at home to raise their family and was known for being a very crafty person. Rose loved to crochet, cook, bake, and coupon.
In addition to her husband, Rose is survived by two daughters, Ann Marie Spak (Jim) of State College, and Christine L. Resele (Ronald) of Danville; three grandchildren, Michael Spak, Julia Resele, and Nicholas Resele; one brother, Victor M. Kennis (Mary); and one sister, Margaret L. Kanocz of Williamsport. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Charles M. Hritzko; one brother, Andrew John Kennis; and one sister, Mary Anne McDonald.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 5th St., Renovo, PA 17764, with Martha Sykes officiating. A visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Hyner.
