‘Cats Edge Bulldogs, 3-2

JERSEY SHORE – The Centra Mountain boys’ tennis squad picked up their second win in as many days by besting Jersey Shore 3-2.

The Bulldogs picked up their first win of the day when Alex Trunzo got past CM’s Morgan Talbot, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Then at No. 2 singles, Gavyn Walker balanced the scales for the Wildcats when he defeated ‘Shore’s, Michael Walker, 1-6, 6-1, 6-1. In No. 3 singles, Luke Maneval earned the Bulldog’s second when as he edged Ujjval Adroja, 6-2, 6-4.

Brady Williams and Jackson Walker got the job done for the ‘Cats against the JS duo of Eric Bell and Robert Smith, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles while Ethan Hall and Leisher Gugino sealed the win for Central Mountain with a 6-1, 6-4 effort over Brennan Powers and Rylon Rockwell at No. 2 doubles.

The win takes the Wildcats to 4-6 on the season, 2-4 in the PHAC.

Next up for Central Mountain is a road trip to Lewisburg, tomorrow, Friday, April 12, 2019.
