Douglas D. Dunlap – Obituary
Douglas D. Dunlap, 66, of Lock Haven passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born February 8, 1952 in Beech Creek, he was the son of Raymond and Olive Bess Hunter Dunlap.
Doug was a 1971 graduate of Lock Haven High School.
He was an active member of Lock Haven’s Hope Hose Company #2 for 35 years and was currently serving as President.
Doug was employed by Steve Poorman and Sean and Dana Krieger at Realty Lease Properties for over 47 years.
He was a big fan of Penn State football as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Surviving is his daughter, Volorea Swartwood; a granddaughter, Brooke Miller; a great granddaughter, Baylee Sunderman; his brothers: Thurlow, Randall (Brenda), Michael (Pat) and Todd; his sisters, Cynthia Wilson and Lisa (Michael) Rettstatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Lee and Terry C. and a nephew, Toby A. Dunlap.
A Fireman’s Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Friday, December 7 from 6 until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions in Doug’s name may be made to Hope Hose Company #2 through the funeral home.
