Getting the Party Started (Video Report)
FLEMINGTON – On Thursday, March 27, 2014 there was a capacity crowd on hand at the Red Eye Center to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Flemington Borough.
Borough officials were joined by residents and elected officials from county, state and municipal governments to share in reaching the milestone.
Many of the guest speakers shared their own memories of Flemington Borough highlighted by long-time borough residents Viola Tyson and Tom Walker.
Several committee members and borough officials donned period costumes from the Civil War era when the borough was officially formed.
The evening culminated in a birthday cake cutting to which was shared with all in attendance.
