CMHS Wildcat Cafe Names Logo Contest Winners
BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Earlier this school year Central Mountain High School opened a cafe in the library. The cafe offers tea, hot chocolate, flavored coffee, muffins, fruit, cereal bars, and more.
In an effort to include students in the design process, Food Service Director Mrs. Pam Rolley asked students to design a logo that would be used on cups, sleeves, and cafe branding. The incentive? A brand new FitBit and 5 free drinks for the winner. After all the submissions were in, Mrs. Rolley narrowed the contest down to two entries.
“They were both so good, I couldn’t decide” she said. So she had two winners. Spencer Wockenfuss and McCartney Register were both awarded with FitBits and 5 free coffees and students for the next several years will use cafe items with their logo designs. The Wildcat Cafe has had a big impact on the number of students who are taking advantage of school breakfast. There has been a 14% monthly increase in breakfast sales and that number will likely continue to climb in the coming school year.CMHS students take advantage of the Wildcat Cafe each morning from 7:30 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.
